Welcome to the Internet site for the U.S. Courts Library for the Eighth Circuit

The primary purpose of the library and its branch locations is to provide research assistance to federal judges and court staff in the seven states of the Eighth Circuit.

Our St. Louis headquarters library is open to the public 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday except for federal holidays. For general questions call 314-244-2665.

Staffing and hours at our branch locations currently vary. Please send an email to library8th@ca8.uscourts.gov to request an appointment.

Librarians can refer to resources that may assist with your case. They cannot draw conclusions about the facts of your case or provide legal advice.

Library materials must be used in the library; they do not circulate pursuant to Eighth Circuit Local Rule 47F.
