Judge Tunheim Elected
President of AJS
The Honorable John R.
Tunheim, United States
District Judge for the District
of Minnesota, was elected to
serve as President of the
American Judicature Society at the Society’s
Annual Meeting in San Francisco on August 9.
The American Judicature Society is an
independent, national, nonpartisan organization
of judges, lawyers, and other members of the
public who seek to improve the justice system.
The mission of AJS is to secure and promote an
independent and qualified judiciary and fair
system of justice.
