Judge Murphy Honored with Portrait
Judge Diana Murphy Honored with Portrait
On October 23, 2006, a ceremony was held by
the District Court of Minnesota to unveil a
portrait of the Honorable Diana E. Murphy.

Rosenbaum
presided over
the ceremony.
The speakers
included Judge
Jonathan
Lebedoff and
former law
clerks Margaret Chutich, Daniel Gustafson, and
Patrick O’Brien. The presentation of the portrait
was made by Cyd Wicker, the artist, and Laura
Murphy, Judge Murphy’s grand-daughter.
Judge Murphy has served on the federal bench
for 26 years. She served as a U.S. District Judge
for the District of Minnesota from 1980 until
1994, when she was appointed to the U.S. Court
of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. She continues
to serve as an active Circuit Judge.
