Judge McMillian Exhibit at Iowa Museum

An exhibit honoring the late Circuit Judge Theodore McMillian will be on display at the African American Historical Museum and Cultural Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa from October 16 until December 1. Judge McMillian was the first African American to serve on the federal bench in the seven states of the 8th Circuit, by appointment to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit in 1978. The display was prepared by the U.S. Courts Library and is on loan to the Museum.
