New Magistrate Judge for Western
District of Missouri: David P. Rush
On June 29, 2012, the
Western District of Missouri
announced the appointment
of David P. Rush as United
States Magistrate Judge. He
took the oath of office on
November 30, 2012.
This appointment fills the vacancy left by Magistrate
Judge James C. England, who retired in November.
Judge Rush received his undergraduate degree in
1983 from Missouri State University and received
his law degree in 1986 from the University of Iowa
School of Law.
Prior to this appointment, Judge Rush served as an
Assistant United States Attorney for the Western
District of Missouri and worked as a federal prosecutor
in Springfield since 1990. He also served with
the Greene County Prosecutorís Office following
time in private practice.
Judge Rush will sit in the Districtís Southern and
Southwestern Divisions in Springfield, Missouri.
