New Court Rules: Resources

On December 1st, changes to the federal court rules became effective. Most of the changes affect time-computation provisions. The AO has posted a summary explanation of the changes. Click here to read the amendments. The 8th Circuit’s local rules are posted at this link.

Moore’s Federal Practice - Civil publishes a pamphlet every year in conjunction with changes to the federal rules. This year’s pamphlet is called Time- Computation Amendments to the Federal Rules and Statutes.

The pamphlet provides quick-reference charts that explain the time-computation changes (for all federal rules except bankruptcy). These charts can be accessed in the online version of Moore’s Federal Practice - Civil on Lexis.com.
