Case Law Available on Google

In November Google added a radio button to their Google Scholar site that allows users to search for federal and state opinions. The database covers U.S. Supreme Court cases, federal cases from 1923, and state cases from 1950 forward.

While this is a step forward for increased public access, the database has a few cons. PDF scans of the originals are not available, coverage is not comprehensive, and search options are limited.
