Bio: Steve Davies-Sigmund, Library Technician, St. Louis

Hi, my name is Steve Davies- Sigmund and I am one of the newest members of the library staff here at the 8th Circuit. I guess you could say that I’ve been born and raised here in the 8 circuit. I was born in Cedar th Rapids, spent a couple of years in Minneapolis and have lived here in St. Louis since I was 6. My only time out of the 8 circuit was during my th undergraduate life at the University of Oklahoma at Norman.

I have a B.S. in Physical Education from Oklahoma, a Certificate in Web Design from Webster University and have just started my MLS at the University of Missouri at Columbia. Prior to working here, I was a circulation clerk at Webster University’s Emerson Library for the last eight years. I have also worked in bookstores (Waldenbooks and Library Ltd.) and for a local book distributor (Booksource).

When I’m not working, I spend most of my time with my wife, Francine, and my two kids, Evan and Gwen. I also enjoy reading, spending time at my family’s cabin north of Minneapolis/St. Paul, and doing web design or other computer related stuff. I am excited to be a part of the 8 Circuit th Library and look forward to meeting everyone.
