Abraham Lincoln Display in St. Louis
The Judicial Learning Center in the Eastern
District of Missouri is now host to a stunning
display called Forever Free: Abraham Lincoln’s
Journey to Emancipation. This panel exhibit reexamines
President Lincoln’s efforts toward the
abolition of slavery during the Civil War and
includes reproductions of rare historical
documents, photographs, newspaper items and
illustrations.
The display was organized by the Huntington
Library and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of
American History in cooperation with the
American Library Association and the National
Endowment for the Humanities. It will be in
Judicial Learning Center until November 1,
2008.
The Judicial Learning Center is located on the
first floor of the Thomas F. Eagleton Courthouse
in St. Louis, Missouri. If you are in St. Louis, you
definitely want to stop by and see this!
