St. Paul Court Offices Moving to Allow Renovation

The federal building at 316 East Robert Street in St. Paul, Minnesota, is getting ready to undergo a 3-year renovation project. As a result, the court offices currently housed in the Roberts Street building will relocate temporarily to 180 East 5th Street. Mailing addresses will remain the same.

The 8th Circuit Library and the Court of Appeals offices will occupy the 6th floor at the temporary location. Judge Lay will have his chambers in an off-site office building. The District Court will occupy the 7th floor. Judges will travel to the Minneapolis courthouse to conduct all in-custody criminal matters and some civil matters. All bankruptcy matters will be handled in Minneapolis as well.

The moving schedule is below. While this schedule is subject to change, the court is planning to be operational by October 3.
