How Appealing - The Blog

Blog stands for "web log." Often described as online journals or diaries, blogs cover every subject you can imagine. Law blogs are sometimes called "blawgs" and they are even more specialized.

One of the most popular blawgs is Howard Bashman's "How Appealing," which he describes as "the Web's first blog devoted to appellate litigation." Every day he includes links to newspaper and magazine articles about state and federal appellate cases. At the beginning of each month he posts "20 Questions for the Appellate Judge." The February 2004 interviewee was 9th Circuit Judge Stephen Reinhardt. Other judges who have been interviewed include Judge Richard Posner of the 7th Circuit and the 8th Circuit's own Judge Richard Arnold.
