New Judge for Western District of Missouri: Roseann A. Ketchmark

On September 8, 2015, the Senate confirmed Roseann A. Ketchmark as a U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Missouri. She succeeds Judge Gary A. Fenner, who took senior status on the same day.

Judge Ketchmark received her undergraduate degree in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma in 1986 and her law degree from the University of Kansas in 1990. While pursuing her law degree she worked as a registered nurse in Lindsay, Oklahoma, and Kansas City, Missouri.

She began her legal career as an assistant prosecutor for Jackson County, Missouri, where she served on the Child Sexual Abuse Task Force. In 1995 she became the First Assistant Prosecutor for Platte County, Missouri.

In 2001, she became an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, where she has served until this appointment to the federal bench. From 2003 to 2006 she served on the district’s Anti-Terrorism Task Force. Her most recent work was in the Fraud and Corruption Unit.

In 2011, she received the Exceptional Service Award from the National Association of Former U.S. Attorneys.
