New Magistrate Judge for W.D. of Arkansas: Mark E. Ford

On November 5, 2014, Mark E. Ford was appointed to be a U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Western District of Arkansas. He will take office on January 3, 2015. He replaces Magistrate Judge James R. Marschewski who will retire the same day.

Judge Ford received his undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 1982 and his law degree from the University of Arkansas – Fayetteville School of Law in 1985.

He began his legal career as a sole practitioner in Fort Smith, Arkansas. In 2009 he joined the firm of Robertson, Beasley & Ford in Fort Smith. He has represented clients in both state and federal court with an emphasis on criminal defense, civil rights, domestic relations, employment discrimination, personal injury, and business and commercial litigation.
