New Librarian in St. Louis: Erica Millspaugh

Our new Research Services Librarian, Erica Millspaugh, started work at the St. Louis Headquarters library on December 1, 2014. She comes to us with a background in art, law, and of course libraries.

Erica is originally from Green Bay, WI, where she graduated with a B.A. in Studio Art from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. She moved to St. Louis in 2007 to pursue an M.F.A. in Visual Art from Washington University. She received her M.F.A. in 2009, and continued her education at Saint Louis University School of Law from 2009-2010.

After completing her first year of law school, Erica decided to pursue a more research oriented career and entered the Library Science program at University of Missouri. Erica earned her M.A. in Library Science in 2012, and has since worked at Fontbonne University as a Reference Librarian, and as the Head Librarian at Hickey College where she managed three branch libraries.

When she’s not being a librarian Erica enjoys long-distance running, watching football (Packers) and baseball (Cardinals), walking and hiking with her elderly yellow lab Marge, live country music, and craft beer connoisseurship.

As Research Services Librarian, Erica will work on reference and research requests, library alerts, Newswatch eExtra blog posts, maintenance of the external library web site, design and formatting of our newsletter and other publications, and she will be the primary contact for Westlaw and Lexis passwords for court staff in the Eastern District of Missouri.
Welcome, Erica!
