New Circuit Librarian: Eric W. Brust |
Chief Judge William Riley recently announced the appointment of Eric W. Brust as Circuit Librarian for the Eighth Circuit. Brust replaces Ann Fessenden who retired on April 30, 2015. |
Prior to joining the Judiciary, Mr. Brust served as the Executive Director of the Jackson County Law Library in Kansas City, Missouri. As Director, he was responsible for long-range planning, contract negotiations, budget preparation, and the library’s training and outreach program. In 2014, he completed a comprehensive restructuring and relocation of the library, designing a new physical space, digital presence, and education curriculum to align user needs, library goals, and budget requirements. |
Brust earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Law (2005). He holds a Master’s in Library Science from Emporia State University (2007) and a double-degree bachelor’s in Ancient History and Classical Antiquities from the University of Kansas (2000). |
