Judge L. Steven
Grasz was born in
1961 in Chappell,
Nebraska. He received
his undergraduate degree from the University of
Nebraska at Lincoln in 1984 and his law degree with
honors from the University of Nebraska College of Law
He began his legal career at the firm of Kutak Rock.
In 1991 he was appointed Chief Deputy Attorney
General for the state of Nebraska.
In 2002 he joined the firm of Husch Blackwell in
Omaha, where he focused on business litigation,
governmental affairs, election law, and appellate
litigation and became a senior partner in 2013.
In addition to his practice, he has served on the
Executive Committee of the Appellate Practice Section
of the Nebraska State Bar Association and as legal
counsel to the campaign committee for the Governor
