2015 Annual Report of the District of Minnesota Branch
of the Historical Society of the
United States Courts in the Eighth Circuit

The Minnesota Branch continues to record oral histories of new and senior judges through its "Portraits of Justice" program. The branch also continues to educate the public about the history of the federal court in Minnesota through ongoing courthouse displays and updates of the materials on the Court's website. Additionally, the Court has recently sponsored several programs and exhibits celebrating the rich contributions that women, African-Americans, Asian-Americans, and Native Americans have made to the legal profession and the administration of justice in Minnesota and throughout the Country. And, this past summer, the Court observed the "Passing of the Bow Tie" to the new chief judge in a tradition that dates back more than half a century.
